A journey that lasted over 5 decades has nearly brought home the trophy. 1966 was a year in the Championships arcade of World Cup history of trophys that belonged to a world nation where the best compete for a place in the grand finale, and this year should mark England as the Champions in the Euro 2020 World Cup dominion. Bring on the Champagne, Cheer on England! The land of hope and football nation! Finally coming home to cries of sheer ecstatic victory! Congratulations to all and the Police force (recommendations of a George Cross) especially in the past year of a pandemic catastrophe. (c) nature thoughts nw

The lens directed at the Calypso singer, Aldwin Roberts for a brighter future. It was 1948, and the Empire Windrush docked with many thinking of going back to the armed forces shocked at a reception that brought many to re-focus in due course, living in different circumstances where skies were gray and the mood sombre yet many still came in large numbers to fill jobs where some were vacant so gradually becoming noticed for being hardworking and pleasant. 'London is the Place for Me'* a song that resonates still in today's climate. Where we are facing changes so variant. Let us sing and appreciate the talent, we see in all cultures to surpass those whose outlook is less than benevolent. Life changes all the time so there is less room for arrogance, but more for cultural diversity in all its magnificence. When it is time to take a break, take a well earned break The next task on the list can but wait It is way past the time so don't be late Be that person who goes for that well earned lunch The task won't be gone so don't have a hunch It is way too late to be eating past 2, Sit back and eat that lunch, for it is long due. Take in the flavours of the lunch that was ready At past mid day when queues lined the streets waiting for their lunch to eat, not to gulp down so take good heed (Lunch is to be eaten, digested and be the day's creed). Don't speed off with a mouthful of lunch, Sit back and eat slowly, get a drink and relax Time can wait until lunch has been eaten Be that sensible person who takes that well earned break, not beaten, (c) nature thoughts nw Inspired by the Greeting card designed by Tihara Smith of tiharasmith.com Tihara's nice message reflects the Greeting's card message too and that is Give Yourself A Break. The island that I know has memories on the beach, in the imprint of steps taken one at a time. Finding a voice in poetic stance Trodding over branches that fell onto white, sunkissed sand, warm like the turn of Autumn to Spring. I walked over these paths many times, reminiscing of days lying there, looking up into clarity. The sky responds with a bright, arched grin. The hues of blue laughing. Mindful that lunchtime approaches, a sip of iced coolsicle, crushed ice water dripping down the glass, onto the sandy beach. Smiling, my skin is scorched red and I forget the sun lotion. Now stinging, my skin feels sore. I now it is time to go into the sea and feel reassured that summer is always around the corner. (c) nature thoughts nw

The idea of a book came when I went for a coffee with a childhood friend and an artist friend in 2018. It has been through a few revisions because I mainly use the recipes in the book! A teabreak is essential for recharging throughout the day! Stay safe and well everyone and enjoy your teabreak! The Poppodom Cafe family blog

I usually drink warm water and lemon or lime when I have a cold but over the years I prefer using lime. The other week, ginger was suggested and now I will try to add ginger which I would if I had a bad cold. An article I just saw says a 10 minute exercise is a good way of helping you to feel happy. I agree with that suggestion but to add, it helps to feel refreshed and rearing to tackle the day ahead! Why some people can deal with the cold (via bbc.com)

Keeping our neighbourhood clean and in line with our beliefs about the environment is a nice way to give back to the community this Spring especially after the first lockdown which began last March. Getting together in a group to make a street or park tidy is rewarding in itself and can help alleviate the stress we face every day! Pick up litter on the street ... via uncustomary.org
