Rain is becoming more frequent in Greenland and accelerating the melting of its ice, a new study has found.
Scientists say they're "surprised" to discover rain falling even during the long Arctic winter.

- The majority of Greenland's population lives in towns. 48,000 inhabitants of Greenland live in its 16 towns and the other 8,500 inhabitants live in the country's 60 settlements.
- Greenland's capital city is Nuuk, which is located in West Greenland. Other major towns there are Sisimiut, Ilulissat and Qaqortoq.
