The Rock (Poem) by Seamas Cain

Poem by Seamas Cain

an charraig :

umhlaíocht, láracha

síolta, leabhair

Bhí an taispeána ag dul chun soiléire

Tháinig an t-ualach adhmaid ar maidin

Marcálaim cráin

ag an ruaig

coillte agus abhainn

Translation by: Gabriel Rosenstock

the rock:

humility, mares
seeds, books
the revelation was becoming clearer
this morning the load of timber arrived
i mark a sow
where the rout occurred
woods and a river

  3. xactly my thoughts.

I have known Seamas since 2007 when I asked if I could publish one of his poems in my poetry booklet at the time.

I'm still posting poetry from those booklets but been so busy!!
